|The route is one I am using to build up stamina after many years out of cycling. The notes are hopefully useful giving timings between points. I go clockwise but the anti-clockwise route is very similar. There is a atraight warmup stretch followed by stretches of steady incline giving opportunity to struggle gamely or power up madly (not me yet) then there is the recouperation area at the top of the run (pubs and eaterys) followed by a beasting run downhill for a few miles before hitting the straight cooling down stretch before home. As a training run, it doesn't get much better than this for me.
