| I live in Willington Quay, and love nothing more than to do this loop on a Sunday, and stop by at the Quayside for a pint before returning back through Walker/Wallsend, back to Willington Quay | ||

| I've done this route a couple of times, but using the pedestrian tunnel rather than the ferry, which gives some great views along the Tyne in places. Anyone wanting to extend the route could always just go further east along the Tyne. Simon | ||

| Done this loop a few times (mising out the Byker bit). Great run, especially south side from Hebburn (turn down Ellison Street to be near the Tyne a bit longer) upto Quayside when it hugs the Tyne. North side ok, just wish it could be closer to the river. Although you can do a slight change to this route and head for St Peters wharf instead of joining national cycleway 72, then pick up cycle path along the edge of the tyne joining 72 later on | ||
