Cycle Steps
This is a mixed road and off road route that my brother and I created to complete before our Sunday Roast Beef and Tatties.
It has some excellent views, with a few short tough hills for the casual cyclist. Mountain Bikes are fine, but I would only recommend hybrid style road bikes with a bit of grip in their tyres. The last section can be really tough when it rains. There is a good refreshment stop in Wortley. The route also goes past the "Professional" mountain bike circuit in Grenoside Woods, which you could tag onto the route, if you are brave enough!

This route looks great, I think I might have to give it a go. I have done sections of it on my own routes from the Kimberworth/Wentworth side and been through greno woods but never this exact route.

Great workout route, but probably more for a roadie type of XC as mentioned by the poster.

Be careful in the end of the loop as its easy to get lost in the housing estate towards the end. Some great views in the first half approaching Wortley.
