Cycle Steps
Head out of Pease Pottage services towards Hand Cross.
At Hand Cross turn right towards Balcombe.
Road bends hard left with a right fork by a water tower, this is your turning,
End of this road turn right and then turn left towards Ardingly reservoir.
Down a big hill cross Ardingly reservoir up the hill the other side.
Top of the road turn right to continue, (public toilets left if you need to stop).
Take left fork. About 1/2 mile on the left is a turning for Horsted Keynes, Sharpthorne.
Follow signs to Horsted Keynes then Wych Cross. Cross over A22.
Follow signs to Coleman’s hatch and then Hartfield to put you at the top of Ashdown forest.
Carry on the B2110 to Wittyham. At Wittyham turn south towards Friars Gate.
Head towards Crowborough skip round the outside turning mainly right
When you hit the A26 about ¼ mile turn right back into Ashdown forest,
cycle across Black Hill and King’s Hill back towards Coleman’s hatch and on towards Forest Row.
At Forest Row cross A22 towards Weir Wood reservoir (follow sign)
From Weir Wood reservoir follow signs to Sharpthorne
Through Sharpthorne to West Hoathly
This next section is probably the biggest hill climb (Cob Hill)
To the top and turn left back towards to Ardingly reservoir
Reverse trip back to Pease pottage
