The new cycle route between Cockwood and Dawlish Warren is a deathtrap waiting to happen.Little or no thought has gone into the ROAD crossings. The so called Devon Hedge Bank are an abortion and only 3 months since it was commissioned the Hedge Banks are in danger of serious errosion due the SANDBAGS.
No doubt this cycle route was funded by EU funds, shame they dont oversee their works to ensure safety and quality.
There is no defined route for walker or cyclists and the footpaths are not user friendly for the blind or partially sighted

It's a very nice ride and some many great sights along the way. Take your camera for sure. Between Cockwood and Dawlish Warren there are some dodgy crossings for sure, you have to slow down and be careful and could of been thought out a bit better or worked on some more at key areas. You might want to actually avoid some of the cycle ways and stick to the roads as its more safer.
