Cycle Steps
This circular route is mostly off road with a couple of steep hills (Kidds Hill and up to Crowborough) and some long down hill tracks. It is just under 23 miles and took about 3 hours with a few brief breaks.

Starting from Forest Row head off on the B2110 until you go up a hill to Coleman's Hatch with a Church on your left - take the right turn off at the church then after a couple of hundred yards straight across the cross roads and down the hill past the Hatch pub. Down to the bottom of the hill and straight up Kidds Hill to the top (a long steep climb). At Gills Lap carry straight on to the next junction and turn sharp left back on yourself onto the B2188. After a few hundred yards at the top of a small incline and as you enter the trees at Black Hill turn right down a track marked with a Bridleway signpost. Go all the way down the hill and back up the other side - through Home farm. The track becomes a road and at the first cross roads turn left - and then continue to veer left - the road becomes a track through the forest. on reaching the road turn right and take the second left (Ghyll Road). At the T junction at the top of the hill turn left and a hundred yards on the right is a track with a Sustrans signs to Eridge and Groombridge. Enjoy the long ride down the track until you come to the road. (A few yards to your right here is Eridge Station and a pub). Otherwise turn left and follow the single track road up the hill. At the top trun right towards Groombridge. At the bottom of the hill is the start of the Forest Way which leads you all the way back to Forest Row. A really great ride with a lot of off road - note that some of the track will be a bit muddy when it has been wet weather.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Bike Shop at start/finish (Future Cycles).
At Coleman's Hatch the route goes past the popular Hatch pub. Gills Lap at the top of Kidds Hill is Pooh Bear country - close there to the Enchanted Place and Eyeore's sad a gloomy place - sometimes there is an ice cream van in the car park.
