Cycle Steps
My starting point is at the top of Houghton Hill. After a fast descent the route passes through Brackmills business park. Following the road side path along the A45.

The signs disappear when you get to Rushmills. However contine along the Nene Valley by going under the Bedford road bridge. This path continues until Billing Aquadrome, from here you go over the A45 and follow quite roads up to Blackthorn.

You then travel on new paths that take you around Blackthorn and lead onto to Moulton business park (a map maybe required for this section as signs disappear).

Once through the Moulton business park the route passes by Northampton University and then Kingsthorpe village. Once past Kingsthorpe you join Briefly the NCN 6 route before passing by Duston.

The route then passes by Upton before crossing the Nene Valley again and a sharp ascent towards Hunsbury. You contine along side the A45 to Hardingstone Village.

Once in Hardingstone village you continue on a quite road back to the top of Houghton Hill.

Overall the route does the job of linking all the major sections of Northampton together to form a single route that any cyclist can use. However at some points of route more work is needed with sign placement.
