Starting at Kilmacolm cycleway by pub, at the end of Gryffe Rd. Generally quite single track road, track or cycle path, the difficulty is when there's a headwind coming up from Largs - possibly most of the time. A good route to the ferry for a day out on Cumbrae.

I thought this was a tough track - 15 mile climb followed by a 2 mile descent. Into a 20 mph westerly this was significantly trickier than 3/10.
That said, the roads were very quiet and the scenery lovely and the reward of a double nougat from Nardini's once you land in Largs.
Watch the wind forecast carefully on this one as over the moor is very exposed.

The road at Gryffe's a shocker and the signpostings almost non existant. Great big gaping hole in the road on the way down to Inverkip, pass with care, otherwise a good day out
