I would advise against using a road bike on this route. Also bikes with trailers will not get across the bridge by the Pyewipe pub.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Cycle shops - there are none on the actual route however there are places in Lincoln where you can get spares. Halfords on tritton Road, Cycle Sports on the lower end of the high street and FJ Cycles on Hungate right in the centre of Lincoln and not very far from the start point. I have done this as a ride out, picnic by the river and ride back type of ride. The viaduct is a good photo opportunity. |

There is a turn off at Doddington. Here there''s a big cycle cafe and bike shop. Great for spares, bit pricey for cakes etc
