At Christmas common take a left at the junction and take the steady false flat towards Wallingford, at the next junction after 2-3 miles take the turn to Nettlebed, on the B481. On reaching Nettlebed turn left and take the Henley Road, A4130, which climbs up again before a long fast descent down to Henley. Cycle through Henley and across the river. Take the second left after the river and take the Remenham route. Keep going straight until the Honey Pot Pub and then take the mid sized steady climb back to the main Henley Maidenhead Road, A4130.
