This route is on the national cycle route 6. For mountain bike NOT road bikes! It is varied terrain from small tarmack road to small forest dirt tracks. This route passes through Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest, Sherwood pines, Warsop, old Clipston, Mansfield, Rainworth, Blidworth, Ravenshead, Newstead Abbey, Hucknall train station. Route 6 goes on to Nottingham and beyond but I haven't cycled it yet and when I do I will update the route. Great ride with plenty of places to stop and admire the scenery.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Clumber Park, Newstead Abbey, various pubs on the way and shops.

Excellent little run . . . Did it in reverse hucknall to worksop and back again . . . The final stage through ravenshead on the way back was nearly the nail in the coffin though as its pretty much all uphill through the estate, Great little ride out recommended in either direction . . . The ride down to sherwood pines is very rocky and loose as I think they are laying a new Fire road but barring that its all pretty smooth.
