|You have to be failrly fit for this route. A Rural loop avoiding all major roads.
Very scenic, undulating terrain on quiet roads. Rough track for short stretches from Muasdale to Kilchrennan.
|Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?|
|There is a shop in Kilchrenan, Stop for lunch in Taynuilt. There are no other shops along the route . Take plenty of water with you as for long stretches of the road there are no houses at all.

|Thanks so much for this route. Got up early on a cool, clear spring morning and am I glad I did! Gorgeous and amazingly varied scenery from the off - Ben Cruachan presiding over your journey. The climb out of Oban at Glencruitten sets you up for a real polka dot jumper challenge up to Musdale, after which it levels off into some stunning moorland (some rough track for a mile or so, but fine thereafter). Then the landscape changes again with lovely forest around Loch Nant, but watch out for startled deer. |
Correction- there is no shop at Kilchrennan, but there is a hotel. After that it's downhill by the River Nant most of the
way to Taynuilt. A comparatively gentle climb and easy run through beautiful Glen Lonan completes the loop. Highly recommended.
