Great Route, did this yesterday (27/06/13). However, when going around Warley Moor Reservoir I was stopped by Yorkshire Water who appeared in a 4x4. They explained to me that going around the reservoir was not permitted and that I was trespassing. Fortunately I was let off since I didnt know and this was the first time I had attempted the route. So just for that bit it may be worth sticking to the road. Also, going around the reservoir meant that on several occasions I had to dismount in order to go over some narrow foot bridges crossing streams. Overall an excellent route!

Some of the scenery is lovely! But the route was not easy to follow and I ended up totally lost! Once the route goes off road it can be confusing (I have no fancy GPS). Luckily bumped into another biker who let me follow him. Lots of uphill with some fun fast bits, I imagine it''s tough when wet. Now that I''ve done it once I''d do it again
