| 1. A nice route avoiding the roads as much as possible.
Starting in Sefton Park, make your way to otterspool promenade. You can do this quite simply by heading down Jericho Lane.
Once on the promenade cycle to the end, turn left off the path and head into the housing estate.
Follow the road out back on to Aigburth Drive. Turn right and head towards Garstang, Speke.
When you pass Merseyside Retail Park on your left, turn left into the Estuary retail park, at first round about turn left heading towards the airport.
When at the airport, turn left onto Dunlop Road and follow this all the way to Hale.
When leaving Hale there is a road on the right handside that takes you down onto the Trans Pennine cycle route. Once on that cycle round onto the coastal path and follow that until you are within site of the bridge. |
