| 1. This ride is reasonably gentle and takes in some country side and avoids main roads where possible. There is a small loop at the end that takes in the Medway River and Rochester Castle and the a you have a 6m gentle climb back to the top of Blue Bell Hill. There are some cycle lanes on the busier section from Horsted College to Walderslade if you prefer, as this is the busiest road of the route.
