Cycle Steps
1. Leave Ingleby Way at the roundabout and turn onto Thornaby Road. Continue straight for a couple of miles and cross the A66. Turn left as if going to Stockton, then immediately right and follow signs for the Tees Barage. Cross the Tees at the Barage and follow tow path to the Newport Bridge. Follow path under bridge and come up ontop the bridge road. Next stop transporter Bridge. Follow Dock Road until it brings you to a roundabout. Cross this roundabout and then over the bridge above the A66. Turn right onto Borough road. Any route through town can be taken, but head for Thornaby. When you reach the Thrornaby roundabout on the A19 turn into the public car park and take the track which runs alongside the A19. Eventually you will come to a small village. Go through the village and onto the Acklam Road. turn right, over the roundabout and enter the A174 heading to Ingleby and Thornaby. Stay on this the whole way until you hit the traffic lights on the Thornaby road. turn left and you will be back at the start.
