| 1. The coastal route from Burgess Hill to Portsmouth. A full day's cycling for the reasonably fit cyclist. Starting at 9am. The 45 mins gets you to Brighton over the least steep route I've found. Lots of sea on your left for the next 3-5 hours. Stopping for a long lunch and a well earned rest and you should be in Portsmouth by 5 ready to take the ferry to the Isle of White. |
