1. This probably won't be of much use to the average cycler, mainly because the most of you won't even get near here. However, it's quite an interesting route. It goes through two countries, but that shouldn't be much of a problem for anyone in the EU. The Austrian part is quite hilly, with climbs up to 16%, but mostly less. The route back uses the same roads as the first part, because I was out of imagination. There isn't too much traffic, aside from the first (and last) 8 miles. It should be hard to get off course, since the area is extensively signposted. Just follow the signs: Gederovci border crossing, Bad Radkersburg, Klöch, St.Anna am Aigen, Fehring It's better if you turn around in Fehring, actually. I just made the few roads extra so at the end it added up to a nice 100 kilometers. Well, hope you like it!
Landmarks/Sites to see?
There are bike shops in the towns of Bad Radkersburg and Murska Sobota. The Kapfenstein castle is also worth a visit (provided that you can manage the extra steep climb up to it) The hills provide for some nice views.
