| 1. After Broughton Beck there's a big climb, but otherwise the route is mildly unjulating. After Brantwood house as you head north on the east side of coniston water, you go past Bankground Farm, which is where Swallows and Amazons was based. Great place to stop for lunch in the summer. | |
