Coming from Wantage and heading towards our next stop, Ogbourne St George, this section is fairly easy, not too hilly, apart from a couple of parts, we had to join the tarmac as we passed by the M4, and then up a very steep hill and over to Ogbourne, were we stayed at the Cock pub, great food, great room and also has a well in the bar!! Carrying on the next day up to Barbury Castle, all up hill!, but once past this it is all downhill and fairly rutted all the way. What a journey, so good I walked it two years later, might do it again soon. |
