| 1. This is a road route on 'A' and quiet minor roads with a climb at the start and a climb and subsequent steep descent between Pimperne and the A350.
Climb up from River Stour through Victorian streets onto Salisbury Road and take the A354 to Pimperne. Turn left and follow the quiet roads, signed Stourpaine, up the hill and across the Higher Shaftesbury Road. Admire the views both NW and S near Downend Farm. Now run down the steep hill to the A350, turn left and head south through traffic lights. Turn right at B3082 to head back into Blandford town centre, following one-way system to Somerfield/Co-op. |
