| 1. A route I use to commute. Although it is not the most direct it is generally fairly traffic free taking in minor roads and tracks. Not recommended in the dark as many of the roads have potholes.
From Three Bridges Station go under the railway and take the first right.
Follow road to the roundabout at Oriel High School and turn right.
Go onto path under the railway then back on the road going straight ahead.
At roundabout turn left and follow the road until you come to the traffic lights at the junction with Southgate Ave
Turn left and join the cycle path.
Follow path under the Southgate Ave and A23.
After going under A23 take the path to the left and continue on path alongside the A23
At the next roundabout turn left towards Horsham
At next roundabout take 3rd exit into Bewbush.
Follow road until you come to a large roundabout outside Bewbush shops.
GO almost right round the roundabout and follow the road signed for the playground.
Take the right turn again posted for the playground.
After crossing the weir you will see a hard pack path on the right going along the front of houses.
Take this path and where it forks take the right hand path.
BEWARE railway crossing. Here you will need to cross the railway via a foot crossing. Please take care that the line is clear as this an 85 MPH piece of track.
After crossing follow the path to it's end where it joins a farm track. There is a very large hump at this point to stop vehicle access so care needs to taken.
Follow track until you come to cross roads.
Go straight across.
At the next junction turn left and enjoy the nice down hill section.
Just before the railway take the track on the right. Follow the bridleway until you reach the junction with the next road.
Turn left onto road. Go straight across the roundabout on the Horsham by-pass
Next roundabout take the second exit towards Littlehaven station.
Go across the railway and continue to the next roundabout.
Take the third exit towards Horsham Town Centre and follow the signs for the town centre which will take you past Horsham Station. |
