Cycle Steps
1. This is a circular route, that uses a mix of roads, parks, pathways and canal towpaths, making it unsuitable for pure narrow tyre racing bikes, but Ok for anything else. Although I started and ended at Twickenham Green, obviously you can join the route anywhere from your nearest point. The route takes in the Crane Valley path, Hounslow Heath, Cranford Park, the Grand Union Canal, Syon Park, the Old Deer Park, Richmond Upon Thames, Richmond Park, Kingston Upon Thames, Canbury Park and Bushy Park. There are plenty of places for refreshment enroute. Recommended pubs are The Fox in Hanwell (just off the canal), London Apprentice just out of Syon Park, The Roebuck on Richmond Hill, the Park Tavern near Kingston Gate as you leave Richmond Park and The Roebuck in Hampton Hill. You will also pass may places for tea, coffee etc., especially in Richmond and in Richmond Park.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
