Cycle Steps
1. This is a road route, mainly on country lanes, with two very small sections of A road. From Laverstock head towards Salisbury. Before railway bridge turn left, onto Manor Farm Road, and after 500m turn left again, onto Milford Mill Road, cross the bridge and turn right, heading towards Peterfinger. Follow this road under the railway bridge and turn left at traffic lights. Head down the A36, but before it becomes a dual carridgeway, cut through cul de sac and head for Clarendon. Take the left fork and head up the hill into Alderbury. This is a long steady climb before turning left in Alderbury to follow signs for cycle route 24 towards Grimstead. Stay on this road/cycle route 24, which will take you through villages of West Dean, East Dean and Lockerley. At Lockerley follow road signs to East Tytherley, then West Tytherley, Winterslow and Pitton. At Pitton cycle past village shop and turn right at crossroads signposted Salisbury. At the main road, A30, turn left and follow the hill down into Laverstock and the village shop.
