1. This is a road route, mainly on country lanes, but with small sections of A and B roads. It is suitable for road bikes, as most of the roads have smooth (ish) road surfaces. There are also plenty of junctions to slow you down and force you to get those legs working up through the gears again.
For the macabre amongst you this route also goes past Osbaston Hall, which is where the millionaire Chris Foster murdered his wife and daughter and then torched his lovely home. It can only really be seen from the road in Autumn/Winter as leaves etc obscure the view in Spring/Summer |
