Cycle Steps
1. This is a fairly challenging figure of eight, road route, on a mix of A, B and country roads, with good climbs and a very fast descent. The route heads out on the A4175, straight across the A4174 roundabout into Carsons Road Link. It goes round and crosses the A420 and onto the A4175 through Bridgeyate. It continues through Oldland Common then turns left onto the A431, heading for Bath. Follow the A431 and the A4 into Bath. Continue to follow the A4 through Bath and out on the London Road and the Batheaston Swainswick Bypass. At the A363 roundabout turn left into London Road East. Go right onto Bannerdown Road and follow this till it cuts a straight line across the countryside. Take a turnoff to Ashwicke and go through it and up to Marshfield where you cross the A420 for the second time. Follow the Tormarton Road to just short of the M4 and turn left towards Hinton. Head through Dyrham and Doynton and back to the A420 at Bridge Yate. Turn right onto the A420 and go through the crossroads which you crossed in the early part of the outward journey. Cross the A4174 roundabout then take a right into Tenniscourt Road. This will take you back to the start point. The route can be altered to incorporate the Bath Bristol Railway Path.
