Cycle Steps
1. This is a road route on a mix of A, B and country roads, that has a number of steep climbs. The route starts in Bedworth and follows the B4113 and A444 to Nuneaton. You then continue on the A444 through Weddington, across the A5, through Fenny Draton and Twycross, across the A42 roundabout and on through Stapenhill to the A511. Take the A511 through Burton and Hatton, and across the A50. Take a left and a first right into Woodyard Lane and continue on this road through Hunger Bentley and into Ashbourne. Take the A515 out towards Dovedale. Turn off onto Spend Lane and ride up through Thorpe to a car park area. Some steep hills between Burton and Ashbourne and a really steep short hill out of Ashbourne. Great run down to Dovedale after that. But then you have to do it all to get back home. Just makes a 100 mile so make sure you take plenty of fuel but loads of places to stop and re fuel along the route.
