Cycle Steps
1. This is a road route, mainly on A roads, that crosses the river Forth via the Forth and Kincardine bridges. The route heads towards Falkirk Stadium on the A9 and left at the roundabout onto the A904, Falkirk Road. Go straight across the roundabout, under the M9, staying on the A904, Earls Road, towards Grangemouth. Follow the A904 right at the next roundabout and through Grangemouth to the A905/A904 roundabout. Turn left, staying on the A904, and follow this to Bo'ness. At this point the road you are on becomes the A993. Follow the A993 past the Bo'ness Hospital and on till Muirhouses. At this point the road returns to being the A904. Continue to follow the A904 through Champany and sharp left, where it runs parallel to the M9 for a period. It then turn back towards the river and goes through Newton on the way to South Queensferry. At this point you join the A90 as it goes across the Forth Road Bridge. Once over the bridge take the first exit, and go left at the roundabout onto Admiralty Road, A985. Follow the A985 as it travels alongside the River Forth all the way to Kincardine and the A876 junction. Turn left onto the A876 and follow it across Kincardine Bridge. Take the A905 exit and follow the A905 back to the M9 roundabout at Falkirk. Turn right onto the A904 and follow this and the A9 back to the start point.
