1. A circular route which can be started at any point taking in the picturesque villages of Bletchingdon, Islip and Hampton Poyle and taking in Oxford city centre. Relatively easy, with a couple of uphill sections. The road to Gosford (off Banbury road) is actually a bridleway, it is signed as 'Kidlington circular walk/route' and marked as no vehicular access, take this route, it is mostly concreted but the is a part mettled, part dirt track towards the railway crossing. This is the only dirt track section, the rest is road or concrete bridleway, I did it on a road bike which wasn't ideal but the section is only short. Overall this is a fairly gentle mid distance ride, on mainly quiet roads taking in some lovely countryside and villages.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
A number of pubs on route at Bletchingdon and Islip. Beeline Bikes can be found slightly off route on Cowley road in the city centre.
