| 1. This is most probably the 50m road route for the Cycle4Cynthia as the the new route wich uses the BramptonHut way is realy only suitable for Hybrid & Mountain Bikes.
This route stars at Althorpe House along the A428 to Harlestone the Church Brampton and then Sandy Lane and picking Brampton/Boughton Lane first exit on round about onto the A508 to Lamport .At Lamport take right turn head out the viliage and take next left for Drayton in Drayton right turn sign posted Rothwell/Kettering follow this road until Tjuncion left turn Harrington.
In Harrington stay on the main street and turn left Church Lane follow this road to the next X-roads then left turn & first right Sign posted Gt Oxendon.Then straight over the A508 through the viliage left turn Clipston (gated rd)and then onto Naseby.
Naseby to Haselbech ,Creaton,Hollowell and onto Guilsborough.In Guilborough take the Cold Ashby rd at Cold Ashby take right turn on bend on the main rd towards Cold Ashby Golf Club follow this rd until the Left turn for Elkington and then onto Yelvetoft.
At Yelvetoft left turn and follow road to West Haddon in West Haddon Pick up the Watford Rd and take Left turn Fox Hill rd to Long Buckby.In long Buckby Pick up the Brington rd follow this and at top of Hill next to Church In Gr Brington SHARP left turn out of viliage first right follow road and then left turn into Althorpe House.
Other than the A428& A508 most of the roads are quiet but the coarse itself is fairly undulating but most of the roads are decent surfaces.
Nb the organisers may reroute through Brixworth to Scaldwell and pick up the Drayton junction to avoid using the A508 all the way to Lamport. |
