Cycle Steps
1. This easy cycle takes you pass Gawdy Hall Estate known for it's ancient woodland and unique wildlife. Also passes an old World War Two firing range, Target Hill.
2. Starting on Homersfield Bridge head north leaving the town towards the A143.
3. Turn right onto the A143 and then first left on to Station Road. Follow Station road round to Piccadilly Corner.
4. Turn right onto Low Road and head north cycling towards Alburgh. When you arrive in the town take the first side road right onto Church Road.
5. At the T-Junction turn left. Approximately one mile on take the side road left onto Manor Farm Road. Cycle to the end of Manor Farm and turn left onto Darrow Green Road.
6. Just south of you now is Darrow Wood which is worth a visit. It contains castle earthworks which were constructed just after the Norman Conquest and it's FREE.
7. Keep cycling along Darrow Green leading onto Wash Lane. Turn left at the T-Junction onto Broad Road and then right at the next T-Junction back onto Mill Road.
8. Follow Mill Road round the bend taking the 2nd side road right onto Clintergate Road. Take the 2nd road left onto Green Lane. This will take you south now passed the Gawdy Hall Estate. There are plenty of paths and trails for a nice relaxing walk. Perhaps better if you are not with your bike though.
9. Keep cycling south and you will arrive in Harleston. Take the first left on to Hallwong Lane and then right onto Dicky Hill and right again onto Station Road.
10. This will take you to the main road, turn right and cycle straight down London Road, until the next major junction on your left. Turn left here onto Shotford Road.
11. 1/4 of a mile later, turn left on to Low Road. Following signs for Mendham take the first side road right. When you arrive in Mendham turn left at the cross roads heading north out of the village on to Denny's Hill.
12. Stay on this road now and follow signs for Homersfield. On the way you will pass Target Hill. You should arrive back in the town centre in approximately 2 miles.

Gawdy Hall Estate, Darrow Wood, Homersfiled Bridge (constructed in 18th Century has recently just be renovated by the Trust) and Target Hill.
