1. Starting in Tranent,follow the B6355 through Winton,Pencaitland,and Gifford.After Gifford get ready for some steep climbing up into the Lammermuir Hills,before descending down past the Whiteadder Reservoir,and through Cranshaws.Joining the A6112 just East of Duns,proceed into the town,and join the A6105 heading West out past the High School.Just out the town turn right on to road signposted Longformacus/Gifford,and proceed,climbing steeply up the Hardens,descending down through Longformacus,then climbing back up into the Lammermuirs before joining the B6355 again,and descending back down to Gifford and back to Tranent.A cracking 62 mile cycle run to test even the fittest of cyclists,with stunning scenery,and testing climbs.

For a bite to eat,Gifford has a nice pub which does meals,and there is also places to eat in Duns,halfway into the cycle run,so an ideal time to re-fuel.
