It is possible to hire bikes from local shops, one of which, Bird Rock Cycle Hire, just don't lose the bike here ;)
2. Starting in Tywyn High Street cycle east heading out of Tywyn following signs for Bryncrug along the A493.
3. When you arrive in Bryncrug take the 6th right and then the first left. This will take you up through the forest. 2 and 1/4 miles later you will come to a junction at Rhaeadr Waterfalls, bear left here and continue cycling along.
4. Pass a side road left and carry on cycling, when you cross over the river take the next right, and head down into Abergynolwyn.
5. For the return journey head back along the road you came, turn left at the T-Junction and then take the 2nd road on your right, heading north. Stay in this road until you arrive in Llanegryn. At the junction with the A493 turn left.
6. This will take you back into Bryncrug.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
In Dysynni Valley the ruins of Castell y Bere built in the 13th century can still be found, some consider this a very romantic castle rising from the floor of the Dysynni Valley. Also Craig yr Aderyn can over some stunning views. You will pass by Bird Rock, a 760ft high cliff with a variety of interesting wildlife to be seen and is thought to be one of the only nesting sites of the cormorant in Europe. Llyn Tal-y-Llyn Lake is also worth a look, usually very serene and tranquil.
