| 1. About 50 miles in total. From Otley its a fairly steady climb all the way up to Greenhow Hill. The hardest bit is the first long hill out of Otley. From Greenhow / Stump Cross Caverns, it's a more leisurely downhill down Wharfedale, past Bolton Abbey. Couple of good cafe stops are marked, but there are plenty others in Wharfedale. There are a couple of steep climbs marked later on the route, but both these have flatter alternatives. | |
