Cycle Steps
1. The first 15 minutes is climbing but reaching Castle Hill finds stunning views all over Huddersfield. The next few miles is a slight uphill but not demanding - This passes a very welcoming 'Golden Cock' pub if you divert 100 metres past Farnley Junior school (The route takes you on the road behind here). Once you reach Thurstonland the next mile or so is great - Downhill! taking you past The Woodman at Thunderbridge before crossing over into and thru Kirkburton (TryCycling Shop). The road then picks back up on the main road, taking a left up 'Farnley Line' with a nice 5 minute climb to the finish. less than 1 hour at a decent pace (I used Mountain Bike)
