| 1. From the centre of Longlevens, you proceed to make your way out of Town towards Hartpury College, this section from Longlevens to Hartpury is on A roads yet on an early morning start there is little traffic. Once you climb a long gradual climb, you turn off into country lanes which is where you can begin to relax and enjoy the scenery. The back roads eventually bring you into High leadon where you turn left which will take you toward Tibberton, there is a small section of A road again yet only for a mile. Again when you turn off into Tibberton, you are back on the lanes again which lead into Newent Town which is a lovely small Town where you may want to stop off for refreshments. Once through Newent you proceed to work your way back towards High Leadon which is where you resume the ride back towards Gloucester and eventually Longlevens. This route is approx 35miles and has lots of little manageable hill climbs and long sweeping decents> Very pleasent on a spring/summer morning. |
