| 1. Start at locked vehicle gate in Glen Strathfarrar about 40 minutes drive west of Inverness. This is a very remote glen that only allows 20 cars a day, no limit on bikes. Cycle through some of the most dramatic scenes in the Highlands on this single tarmac road all the way to the Monar hydro electric dam. Cross the dam for a circular route that takes you back to the beginning roughly 30 miles later. A fairly straightforward route with no difficult hills or rough terrain. Watch out for wildlife including many heard of dear and birds of prey. |
