Then you can scream down the other side and cross the lower luton road and head up farrs lane on the other side.
This is quite step but with great views to the left over the valley.
It is very little used by moters so is nice on the bike. You reach peter's green with a lovely looking pub.
Cycle bearing left and continue till you find the right turn and then take an immediate left which takes you close to the run way of Luton Airport.
There is a left turn at a farm and a nice steep downhill bit to the lower luton road going under the railway. Go left onto the main road and take the first right up the hill.
This is long and moderately steep but with good views behind. Continue over this and down the otherside to the A1081, go left and head back into Harpenden again. Should take 45 to 50 mins on a road bike.
