|Great route if you want quiet roads and somewhere good to stop for lunch, either in Crail or (my preference) Anstruther. |
Easy to get to Anstruther by this route in an hour, and nice hotel bar in Kings Barns on the route between St A and Crail. I've only cycled this route clockwise, but by my memory there is nowhere to stop between Anstruther and St A should anyone desire a coffee on the way back.
Going from Anstruther to St A the wind can make a huge difference: took me an hour when there was a strong headwind, just under 1/2 hour when it was calm!
