Cycle Steps
This is a quite flat, 98% off road, mainly on foot/cyclepaths, that is ideal for leisurely beginner rides.
The route starts at the Windmill Hill Business Park (near junc 16 of M4). You initially head on roads towards the M4, but crossing the A3012 roundabout and heading left through Blagrove. At the roundabout at the far end of Frankland Road take the pathway to the left. follow this round to the right and then left under the A3012. The path snakes off to the right across open ground. After this the path goes through the houses and across Idovers Drive. continue on the pathway until it passes a grassy area on your right. You should now be adjacent to the end of Stansfield Close. Take the pathway to the left and follow this along the back of the houses to Flint Hill. Turn right onto Flint Hill and at the end, left onto Dunwich Drive, following this to it's end. Go back onto the pathway and go left on the bridge across the Tewksbury Way, B4553. Follow the path and go across West Lea Drive. The path now snakes left and right and come up to a fork. take the path to the left and follow this up to West Lea Drive. Again cross this and follow the pathway past the backs of the houses and round to the right. Go straight across the the cross path and up to the Mead Way, B4006 underpass. Go through this and straight acros the cross path, following the path behind the Westmead Business Area. Before the end of the buildings, take the path to the left. Follow this path across an open area until it crosses a path into a facility. After this turn left, heading towards the Sparcells housing estate. Just before the houses take the left hand path and skirt round the edge of the houses to another Mead Way, B4534 underpass. After the underpass take the first path on the left. Follow this around the water, as it passes the fancy Blue Glass building?, and on to the Peatmoor Way roundabout. Go over the crossing and follow the pathway that runs parallel to Roughmoor Way through the next roundabout. The pathway now veers away slightly to the left then swings right under Roughmoor Way. It then snakes right and left and crosses Middleleaze Drive. Continue stright on the path, ignoring cross paths, etc, until you reach the Tewkesbury Way underpass. Go through this and turn left onto Hay Lane. Follow this till it reaches Tregoze Way, but take the pathway to the right. Follow this parallel to Hay Lane then turn left across hay lane at the crossing. Follow the path to the end and take a left and left again. Foillow this path through a mini roundabout feature and on till it rejoins the Hay Lane roundabout. Go straight across staying on the pathway. Follow this straight across Sudley Way, and on until you reach King Henry Drive. Take the first pathway on the left off King Henry Drive and follow this as it crosses Hook Street. The path then takes you back to the Windmill Hill Business Park.
