Cycle Steps
This is a mixed route, that is mainly country roads, but with a little bit of canal and cycle tracks thrown in. As a result a mountain or hybrid bike is best suited for this route.
The route takes in the West Midlands Golf Club, off-road elements down Kenilworth Greenway Cycle-route, Kenilworth Wood and Common and Abbey Fields Park, as well as Kenilworth and Balsall Common Town Centres.

Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
You cycle past Kenilworth Castle. There is a entrance fee of £7.50, if you want to go in. You will pass general shops on route, including refreshments in Abbey Fields Park, and I would recommend 'The Boat' in Catherine De Barnes for a pint/meal, just off the canal on Hampton Lane. There is also a good Fish & Chip shop on Station Road, Balsall Common.

Please see my picasa page for pictures of Kenilworth Greenway.

Are you not aware that cycling in Abbey Fields is prohibited by local bye-laws?
