The 4 Abbeys Cycle Challenge is a fantastic event that gives both novice and experienced cyclists the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery around the 4 Abbeys of the Scottish Borders. Starting and finishing at the 100 Aker Wood Garden Centre, Melrose, the route encompasses the 4 Abbeys of Melrose, Dryburgh, Jedburgh and Kelso. There are two routes to choose from: the 55 mile challenge and the more family friendly 11 mile route. Please note that both routes involve a couple of steep climbs, but the views once at the top are worth the extra effort! The 4 Abbeys Cycle Challenge is dedicated to raising funds for CHILDREN 1ST and each participant is asked to raise money through sponsorship and/or other fundraising activities.
