Hi, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to cycling.. although I did used to cycle to school every day (many years ago!). I've recently taken it up again as I'm planning a charity cycle ride with a friend from St. Davids in Pembrokeshire to Lowestoft in Suffolk, its about 420 mile. Ouch. I have a rather tatty and tad uncomfortable mountain bike at present but dont think the poor old thing will see me through the first 50 miles so think i ought to get a new one. Can anyone recommend to me what sort of bike would be best and most comfortable for such a long journey. We're planning on taking around 8 days. Thanks, SJJ
