Hi to all,

Just wondering if there are any retired persons on this site that might consider cycling the Loire this summer.(for a few weeks) at a leisurly pace taking in the Chateus and all the magnificent sights along the way that this area has to offer.

Hello Lady M: I hope you get to make the Loire Valley trip. A couple of years ago I started at Blois and biked to Angers. The route is not well marked, and there is not very much non-traffic bike paths. A couple of must sees: Villandry with its gardens and, if you are a history buff, Fontevraud with the tombs of Eleanor of Aquitaine, her husband Henry II, and her son Richard the Lionheart. On that same trip I biked Brittany and Normandy, that personally I liked better. Good Luck.
