I am soon off to Mallorca, road bike has been hired and im hoping to get many miles in over 7days. But, has anybody had experience of additional costs using Mapmyride in Spain ? I know it uses GPS, but unsure if it is constantly using 3G or if it can wait till im back to the villa with wifi ? Dont really fancy telling my wife i have a massive phone bill on returning from holiday! Obviously I will check with the APP provider and phone supplier, but just wondered if any of you had used this abroad. Thanks Gav |

I ended up getting the travel angel bundle so not to get stung with charges on my return, however it did fine only using wifi and switching off 3G when out riding. Just a shame the phone battery struggled to cope ! Good idea about a local sim, i might use that next year :) Cheers Gav |
