Eurostar claim not take tandems, and TGV options also appear limited. Flights look like a possibility but is a tandem too long? Has anyone managed this? Or got any tips? Many thanks |

I travelled to france with a tandem and my ex a few years ago.We used the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao (spain i know) then rode into france...Another time we just took the bike on the car... Have you checked to see if bike express are still running..They use buses that pull trailers for bikes(including tandems i think)..The buses used to leave from the North east and pick up on route, with various drop off points...Good luck... |

I would recommend that. TGV trains will probably not be up for taking the tandem as they dont really take any bikes. The regional trains will take it though, even if it can be tricky without a cycle carriage. hope this helps stew |
