100 mile ride

Joined: 02 Jan 2012 Posts: 1 Bike: | Hi A little bit about myself, I am a 56 year old male returning to cycling i am on average doing between 10 and 20 miles a day road riding. However i would love to do the 100 mile before I die so to speak. Question: Any body know a route with a start point (Long Eaton, Nottingham) would like a simple route nice and flat? Ok may be one hill (small one) Thanks Cocopops . |

Joined: 07 Sep 2013 Posts: 3 Bike: | same age as me, i am steve from calverton nottingham, i just took up cycling again this year and love every minute of it. i just cycled 5680 miles in 70 days around britain, on a low budget , wild camping etc, was truly brilliant and met so many nice people out there. one day i did 166 miles, as the days went on it got easier and easier, i recommend it to anyone that has a reason or motive to do the same. its the greatest achievement i have ever done. I now cycle around notts and debys on a daily basis, and would love to learn some routes around long eaton , attenborough, chilwell area. I do have some routes but not all on cycle routes. |
