Easy cycling in Sedgefield

It would be good to have some company if you don't mind coming with a beginner. I can only do long rides on a weekend mornings. I could head for Sunderland and see how far I am prepared to go. I don't know sedgefield that well so not sure what would be the best for your wife. I'm happy to go out with you Marty any exercise is better than none, plus I will be riding from Aycliffe so its still a few files extra from me. Look forward to hearing from you! |

If you want to plan the route and where we should meet I can be there. I have only been about 20 miles in one ride but I will see how far I can go. Just hope the weather is ok. |

Joined: 23 Jul 2010 Posts: 65 Bike: My Profile | hi marty the castle eden has 2 routes it splits as turns north up to sunderland theres also seaham which is not that far great cafe on the front street... the other takes you to hartlepool ...this will help you see the route,s .... http://www.cyclestreets.net there is also a cafe at the start of the castle eden which is on the right side of the A689 larry |

Joined: 23 Jul 2010 Posts: 65 Bike: My Profile | hey marti not a flat route(no such thing)..lol but poss use part of this route we do some times to seaham http://connect.garmin.com/activity/152778441 you could mix it with the castle eden route either go to seaham viathe road and return on the castle eden or the other way round the roads are minor and little traffic on w/ends (sun) hope this helps in some way ...would like to join you some time but wed i am down for a eye opp so will see how things go will get back to you ..;-) larry |
