Joined: 28 Feb 2010 Posts: 3 Bike: My Profile | Hi all was wondering if there is anyone from the Ellesmere Port area that knows any safe cycling routes we can enjoy, be ideal if routes are mostly covered by cycle paths as my wife is a little nervous with going onto roads with her only just starting off on the cycling scene. Your replies would be most welcome. Thanks for reading. |

Joined: 02 Mar 2010 Posts: 2 Bike: | Hi. I think the Millenium cycle way runs past Ellsemere port. I've cycled it many times and the majority of the route is on a traffic free cycle path. Only rarely does it venture onto traffic sections and then only back lanes. Take a look at this http://www.sustrans.org.uk/assets/files/leaflets/MillenniumCyclewayLeaflet.pdf It shows the entire route. Makes a great day out to Chester, or you can venture north up the Wirral. It's a nice route and will introduce your wife gently into the cycling way of things. Have fun. |
