Now heres the crux, we want leisurley family rides that are gonna suit kids aged 9 & 6. Not too long a ride, easy gradients and something to interest the kids along the way. Eg. Family friendly Pub for lunch, nice sheltered beach, or kids play area. A bonus if its local to that part of the island, so I dont have to load the bikes onto the car for us to go anywhere. We are not tooled up with the gadget-show style must haves, we just have budget bikes for pleasure. I have a: Halfords Apollo XC26 - Front only suspension - 18 speed. She has a: British Eagle Tundra - Full suspension - 18 speed. 9yo Lad has: Argos Challenge Thunder 20"wheel - Full suspension - 6 speed. 6yo Girl has: Adventure Tag Along - that attaches to either adult bike. Oh yes - I can also sport a Luggage trailer - that will no doubt be laden with all the trappings that kids want to take everywhere on holiday. [This may also have something to do with a perverse need of mine to attach a trailer to everything with wheels that I own] I've checked out some of the IOW rides listed on this site - but only 1 or 2 may suit little kids. So any suggestions welcome. Cheers; Kev |
